**USMNT to Face Türkiye in International Friendly at Rentschler Field**
The U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) is set to take on Türkiye in an international friendly on June 7, 2025, at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. Fans can catch the pre-game coverage starting at 3:00 p.m. ET on multiple platforms, including TNT, truTV, Telemundo, Universo, Max, and Peacock, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Radio coverage will be provided by WestwoodOne Sports and Fútbol de Primera.
Today's starting lineup for the USMNT includes key players such as team captain Chris Richards, Jack McGlynn, Diego Luna, and Miles Robinson. Notably, both New York City FC goalkeeper Matt Freese and Orlando City defender Alex Freeman are making their debut under head coach Mauricio Pochettino. At just 20 years and 303 days old, Freeman is the youngest player to earn his first cap under Pochettino during a FIFA window.
East Hartford native Patrick Agyemang, who grew up just five minutes from Rentschler Field, will be earning his team-leading fifth cap of the year. Agyemang has been impressive so far in 2025, leading the team with three goals. Diego Luna, another key player, is also set for his fifth cap and has recorded an assist in each of his past two appearances.
Chris Richards will captain the USMNT for the second time, having previously led the team in a 1-1 draw against New Zealand on September 10, 2024. Richards and Miles Robinson will pair up in central defense for the eighth time, with the USA boasting a strong 6-1-0 record when the duo starts together.
This match marks the first international appearances against a UEFA opposition for players like Agyemang, Arfsten, Freeman, Freese, and Tillman. Additionally, substitutes such as Sebastian Berhalter, Chris Brady, Damion Downs, Nathan Harriel, and Quinn Sullivan could earn their debut if they take the field.
Historically, the USMNT has a record of 2 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw against Türkiye since their first meeting in 1991. The last two matches saw the USA come out on top with 2-1 victories in 2010 and 2014. Türkiye's sole win came in the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup.
Rentschler Field has been a favorable venue for the USMNT, where they have a 4-2-2 record in eight previous matches. With a balanced mix of veterans and fresh faces, the U.S. team aims to continue their strong form in tonight's encounter against Türkiye.
