**Micah Parsons to Attend Cowboys' Mandatory Minicamp Amid Contract Talks**
Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons has confirmed he will attend the team's mandatory minicamp next week. However, his status for the beginning of the training camp in Oxnard, California, remains uncertain. Parsons hinted in a social media post Tuesday night that his attendance in July hinges on a potential contract extension.
The four-time Pro Bowler expressed his commitment to his team despite the unresolved contract situation, noting, "I haven't missed a minicamp in 4 years! Even though the contract is not done, I have teammates and a playbook! I'm preparing as if I will be on the field the first week of camp! But it's in the owner's hands. I'm ready to win a Super Bowl!" Parsons' statement did not clarify whether he will participate in on-field activities during the minicamp.
Throughout the voluntary offseason program, Parsons has been partially involved, though he skipped the organized team activities. Having returned from Spain on Tuesday, he joined his teammates for team photo day after practice.
Entering the final year of his contract, which includes a fifth-year option worth $24 million, Parsons became eligible for an extension after the 2023 season. He is seeking a new contract and is anticipated to secure a deal that could surpass Ja'Marr Chase's annual average of $40.25 million, making Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league.
