In a TikTok video showcasing her "new #SlivingMom van," Hilton captured adorable moments of her one-year-old son Phoenix and six-month-old daughter London dressed up for a Mother's Day brunch.

However, instead of focusing on the children's outfits, many of Hilton's followers immediately noticed the car seats facing forward, as well as the simultaneous use of both a latch and a belt system. Social media users quickly took to the comments section, with one person urging Hilton to hire a professional to install the car seats properly. Another even offered assistance in securing the straps to enhance the safety of the babies.

A third individual raised concerns about the compliance with car seat manufacturer recommendations, highlighting that using both a latch and a belt simultaneously is typically not recommended. Additionally, the commenter noted that rear-facing car seats are usually required until the age of two as per the law.

Nevertheless, some supporters came to Hilton's defense, pointing out that the children were not in a conventional car and appeared to be fine. A few even praised the celebrity for her execution, suggesting that she might have been playing a prank on her followers.

Unfortunately, Hilton's representative did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment on the situation. The 43-year-old singer, who welcomed her son Phoenix through surrogacy in January 2023, had kept the pregnancy a secret from both the public and her immediate family to shield her child from negative energy.

Hilton followed a similar approach with her daughter London's arrival in November of the same year. It took her four months before sharing photos of her baby girl on Instagram, allowing the public a glimpse of London's features in family snapshots posted in April.

This is not the first time Hilton has faced parenting-related criticisms. In December 2023, the reality star received backlash when her comment about changing a diaper for the first time went viral. Hilton later clarified on Twitter that she was merely joking and reassured her followers that she is fully involved in motherhood and cherishes every moment.
