**Ohioans Gear Up for Record-Breaking Thanksgiving Travel**

Thanksgiving travel in Ohio is expected to surge to unprecedented heights this year, with millions gearing up to travel by road and air. AAA forecasts that more than 3.2 million Ohio residents will journey for the holiday, marking a 2.1% rise from last year.

In the Columbus region, nearly 47,000 individuals are expected to board flights, while over 500,000 plan to drive to their destinations. Statewide, about 3 million Ohioans will be hitting the roads, over 275,000 will fly, and approximately 94,000 will utilize other transportation modes, including buses, cruises, or trains.

This year’s Thanksgiving travel volume is projected to be the highest since AAA began keeping records in 2000. Anticipating the holiday rush, TSA officials will be present at John Glenn International Airport on Monday to outline their strategies for efficient travel management.

Travel experts suggest avoiding the most congested times to drive, which are the afternoons of the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving. In contrast, Thanksgiving Day itself is considered an optimal time for travel, as traffic on interstates and highways tends to be lighter.
