The unfortunate incident occurred on June 19 around 8 p.m., when authorities received reports of a person lying down in a restricted area near the Banshee roller coaster. Nelson had entered the fenced-off zone in search of his keys. The Banshee, known for its adrenaline-inducing speeds of up to 68 mph, collided with Nelson, inflicting massive head trauma.

Prompt medical attention was provided to Nelson, who was first taken to UC West Chester hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently airlifted by helicopter to UC Medical Center. Despite efforts to save his life, Nelson remained in critical condition and sadly passed away two days later.
