In a resounding victory for the New York pizza scene, the Big Apple has once again proven its superiority in the realm of cheesy goodness. On the esteemed 50 Top Pizza's list of the best pizzerias in the United States, New York City claimed a remarkable 10 spots, with one restaurant taking the coveted first place.

For the third consecutive year, Una Pizza Napoletana, located in the vibrant Lower East Side, clinched the title of the nation's best pizzeria. This iconic establishment, which has now found its home just off Orchard Street, holds a special place in the hearts of pizza aficionados. Originally established in New Jersey in the 1990s, the restaurant found its way to the East Village before making its mark in San Francisco.

Owner and Jersey Shore native, Anthony Mangieri, remains dedicated to his craft after 25 years. "No one makes the dough in the restaurant, 25 years later, except for me," Mangieri proudly proclaimed. "Every single pizza that people eat, I still make the dough in the morning myself."

While Una Pizza Napoletana's dominance was unquestionable, other notable pizzerias from the Big Apple also made their mark on the top 50 list. Ribalta in Union Square secured an impressive fourth place, followed closely by Don Antonio in Midtown at seventh. Further down the list, Pizza Secret in downtown Brooklyn claimed the 19th spot, while Salsa in Greenpoint landed at 34th. Pasquale Jones from Little Italy took the 39th position, and San Matteo from the Upper East Side tied for 50th with Baltimore's Angeli's Pizzeria.

Not to be overlooked, Williamsburg's upscale L'Industrie was crowned the best slice in the entire United States, solidifying its reputation as a pizza powerhouse. Meanwhile, Mano's in Forest Hills earned the fourth spot, while L & B Spumoni Gardens, renowned for its signature upside-down square slice, proudly claimed the tenth position on the list.

New York City's continued dominance in the world of pizza is a testament to its unparalleled culinary culture. With its diverse array of pizzerias and passionate pizza makers, the Big Apple remains the unrivaled destination for pizza lovers from around the globe.
