Former WWE star Nikki Bella has issued a request for privacy after her husband, professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev, was arrested on Thursday morning for domestic violence. A representative for Bella, 40, stated on Friday that the matter is private, and requested that she and her family be given privacy during this time.

According to a source, Chigvintsev, 42, called 911 after the alleged incident but later called back to inform emergency services not to come. While Bella, who also uses the name Nikki Garcia, has not spoken out publicly about the incident at their Napa Valley home, she was active on social media just a day before, sharing updates from her facial appointment on Instagram stories.

Chigvintsev was taken into custody by the Napa County Sheriff's Department on a felony domestic violence charge shortly before 10 a.m. His bail was set at $25,000, and he was released later that afternoon. Hours following his release, his mugshot began circulating online. The booking report cited Chigvintsev's weight as 175 pounds and height as 5 feet, 9 inches.

The Napa County Sheriff's Office confirmed that deputies responded to a domestic violence call in Yountville and made an arrest at the scene. It has been reported that injuries were involved, but the victim has requested complete confidentiality, and the investigation is still ongoing. It remains unclear if Garcia herself was directly involved in the alleged altercation.

In the aftermath of Chigvintsev's arrest, sources have revealed that there were no plans for him to participate in Season 33 of the popular dancing competition show, "Dancing With the Stars," which is set to premiere on September 17.

Reports indicate that paramedics and the fire department were on their way to Chigvintsev's home prior to his arrest. A call was made around 8:30 a.m. PT, where an unidentified person reported a "medical emergency" at the residence. An hour later, the former "Strictly Come Dancing" winner was taken into custody.

If you or someone you know is affected by domestic violence, please reach out to the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1.800.799.SAFE (7233) or text START to 88788.
