In a highly anticipated yearly tradition, CBSSports.com has released its rankings of the top trios in the NFL, known as "triplets." The rankings, determined by a panel of 12 voters, offer a comprehensive view of each team's strengths and potential heading into the upcoming season.

The rankings were divided into different tiers based on the average votes received from the panel. In Tier 4, the Atlanta Falcons claimed their spot with quarterback Kirk Cousins, running back Bijan Robinson, and wide receiver Drake London. Despite skepticism about Cousins' return from a torn Achilles, the Falcons hope to utilize their talented playmakers under a new coaching staff.

Moving up to Tier 3, the Green Bay Packers found themselves in a position of apparent upside with quarterback Jordan Love, running back Josh Jacobs, and wide receiver Jayden Reed. The offseason addition of Jacobs and the excitement surrounding Love propelled the Packers to be one of the biggest risers in this year's rankings.

The Dallas Cowboys, led by quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Rico Dowdle, and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, fell into Tier 3, surprising some due to their strong performances last season. However, concerns about the team's offseason and overall disappointment in their roster moves contributed to their lower placement.

In Tier 2, the Buffalo Bills, showcasing quarterback Josh Allen, running back James Cook, and tight end Dalton Kincaid, found themselves outside the top five. Despite Allen's talent, the downgrade from Stefon Diggs to Kincaid played a role in the Bills' positioning. However, the panel acknowledged the Bills' immense upside beyond their ranking.

The Miami Dolphins, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, running back Raheem Mostert, and wide receiver Tyreek Hill, garnered attention in Tier 2. The panel highlighted the explosiveness of Miami's trio and the potential for higher placement if they had a more physically talented quarterback.

While some panelists were cautiously optimistic, the New York Jets secured their place in Tier 2 with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, running back Breece Hall, and wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Despite concerns about Rodgers' age and recent performance, Hall's recovery from injury and Wilson's untapped potential provide hope for the Jets' future.

The Houston Texans experienced a significant rise in the rankings, finding themselves in Tier 2. Led by quarterback C.J. Stroud, running back Joe Mixon, and wide receiver Nico Collins, the Texans showcased improved supporting cast. Collins, in particular, emerged as a standout receiver, boosting Houston's offensive prospects.

In the top tier, Tier 1, the San Francisco 49ers showcased their skill-position riches with quarterback Brock Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey, and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Purdy's stellar performance and emergence as an MVP candidate, alongside talented targets like McCaffrey and Aiyuk, propelled the 49ers to a top-tier ranking.

The Philadelphia Eagles claimed a spot in Tier 1 with quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley, and wide receiver A.J. Brown. While Hurts experienced setbacks last season, his dynamic skills and the offensive line's support provide optimism. Barkley's consistent production behind a solid line adds a different dimension to the Eagles' offense.

Finally, the Kansas City Chiefs reclaimed their rightful place at the top spot in Tier 1. Led by the world's best player, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, alongside running back Isiah Pacheco and tight end Travis Kelce, the Chiefs possess a formidable trio. Despite some concerns over Pacheco's workload and Kelce's regular-season management, the Chiefs remain a dominant force when it matters most.

As the NFL season approaches, these rankings provide fans with insight into the most promising offensive trios across the league. With surprises and expected favorites, anticipation is building for the on-field performances of these dynamic triplets.
