### NFL Stars Mahomes and Kelce Victims of Home Burglaries
Earlier this week, revelations emerged that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce had their homes burglarized last month. The incidents happened shortly before the Chiefs' "Monday Night Football" game against the New Orleans Saints.
On the night of October 6, Mahomes' expansive eight-acre property, where he resides with his pregnant wife Brittany and their two children, was invaded around midnight. This alarming event took place less than two days before Kelce's newly-purchased mansion in Leawood, Kansas was similarly targeted during Kansas City's game against the Saints. Kelce reported that $20,000 in cash was stolen, and the back door of his house was damaged.
Reacting to these distressing incidents, Mahomes has reportedly decided to significantly increase security measures at his residence. Furthermore, the gated community where he lives has also enhanced its security protocols to reassure residents.
According to sources, the FBI has joined local law enforcement in investigating these burglaries, as noted by TMZ. Mahomes expressed his frustration but refrained from discussing specifics due to the ongoing investigation.
"It's frustrating, it's disappointing," Mahomes told reporters. "I can't get into too many of the details because the investigation is ongoing, but obviously it's something you don't wanna happen to anybody, obviously yourself."
Despite the unsettling events, Mahomes and Kelce remain focused on their football duties as they prepare for a significant matchup against the Buffalo Bills this weekend.
