Witnesses reported seeing one of the men taking bags and guns from the vehicles before leaving the scene. The incident occurred at around 6:20 PM local time, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles. One of the individuals involved in the accident, Kayla Quinn, expressed concern for the safety of her four-year-old son and criticized the men for not stopping to offer assistance.

Rice's performance for the Chiefs during last season was remarkable, with 79 catches, 938 yards, and seven touchdown receptions.
