### New York Yankees Fan Hit by Falling Concrete at Dodger Stadium

A New York Yankees fan reported being struck by a piece of falling concrete during Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Ricardo Aquino, who traveled from Mexico City to attend the game, said the incident occurred while he was seated in Section 10, situated between home plate and first base.

Witnesses captured social-media photos of Aquino holding a chunk of concrete, approximately the size of a baseball. Another photo revealed a sizeable gap in one of the support beams of the stadium's second deck. The incident reportedly took place during the third inning of the highly anticipated World Series rematch, according to The Athletic.

Stadium security and a police officer met with Aquino immediately following the incident. He received medical attention for his injuries. Alvaro Baeza, a friend of Aquino who served as a translator, noted that Aquino was experiencing some pain but was not bleeding.

The Dodgers acknowledged the situation but did not provide further comments to the media. Dodger Stadium, which opened in 1962, is the third-oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball, following Fenway Park in Boston and Wrigley Field in Chicago. Despite several renovations over the years, some structural elements of the stadium cannot be easily refurbished without extensive reconstruction.

In addition to the incident, the Dodgers celebrated a victory over the Yankees, winning the game 8-5. They continued their strong performance the following day, indicating a repeat of last year's championship outcomes.
