New York Rangers Extend Defenseman Braden Schneider's Contract

The New York Rangers have announced that defenseman Braden Schneider has agreed to a two-year contract extension, according to team President and General Manager Chris Drury. Schneider proved to be a valuable asset on the ice, ranking second among Rangers defensemen in hits with 167 and blocked shots with 133. In fact, he was one of the top performers among NHL defensemen who played 85 or more shorthanded minutes of ice time, ranking fourth in power-play goals allowed per 60 minutes with an impressive rate of 4.03.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 211 pounds, Schneider has made a significant impact in his 206 career NHL games across parts of three seasons in New York. During this time, he has accumulated 12 goals and 36 assists for a total of 48 points, along with a solid plus-minus rating of plus-13.
Since his NHL debut on January 13, 2022, Schneider has established himself as a key player for the Rangers.
