According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Saints have shown the most interest in Adams, who has been sidelined for the past two games due to a hamstring injury but is nearing a return to full health.

The Raiders are seeking a second-round draft pick along with an additional pick in exchange for Adams, but no team has yet met this asking price, as per Schultz. Adams' current contract may not be a significant hurdle in finalizing a trade. He is earning a base salary of $16.9 million this year, with future salaries of $35.6 million annually for the next two years, none of which are guaranteed beyond 2024.

To facilitate a trade and potentially maximize their return, the Raiders could opt to absorb some of Adams' remaining salary. However, there is no indication that they are currently willing to pursue this option. In terms of financial capability, New York is in a position to execute a trade without any monetary adjustments, thanks to its $16.8 million cap space. Conversely, the Saints would need to either renegotiate existing player contracts or convince the Raiders to cover a portion of Adams' salary, given their limited $3.9 million cap room.

Despite Aaron Rodgers' presence, the New York Jets' offensive performance has not seen significant improvement compared to last year when Zach Wilson was under center. Through the first five games, they have scored 93 points, mirroring their scoring from the same period last season. Rodgers' performance in the latest 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings included three interceptions, marking only the second time since 2018 that he has thrown at least three picks in a single game.
