The Nebraska Huskers continue their baseball journey, defeating Holy Cross 4-1 in Chapel Hill on Saturday afternoon. This victory propels Nebraska forward in the Chapel Hill Regional, keeping their season alive for another critical game.

Holy Cross briefly gained the upper hand when Sean Scanlon hit a solo home run in the fifth inning, putting the Crusaders up 1-0. However, Nebraska's Cayden Brumbaugh quickly shifted the momentum, launching a two-run home run in the bottom of the same inning, giving the Huskers a 2-1 lead.

Nebraska's dominance grew in the later innings, with Hogan Helligson adding a solo home run in the seventh. He further cemented the victory by driving in Rhett Stokes with a single in the eighth inning, extending the Huskers' lead to 4-1.

Pitching played a crucial role in the Huskers' success. Ty Horn allowed just one run over 7.1 innings, giving up five hits and striking out six batters. Luke Broderick secured his 13th save of the season with 1.2 innings of flawless pitching, ensuring no hits were allowed.

Nebraska now looks ahead to another elimination game on Sunday, where they will face the loser between North Carolina and Oklahoma. The Huskers will take to the field at 11 a.m. CDT, determined to keep their season alive and advance further in the regional tournament.
