### NBC to Air Madden NFL-Themed Broadcast for Chiefs vs. Texans Game

Football enthusiasts and video game fans are in for a treat this December as NBC plans to blend virtual gaming elements with live sports. The network announced an alternative broadcast of the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Houston Texans on December 21. This special coverage, styled after the popular Madden NFL Football video game series, will be available on the streaming service Peacock.

While NBC will continue with a traditional broadcast on its main channel, starting at 1 p.m., the Madden-themed version promises a unique experience. "Blending video game elements and live action, the stream will be an immersive, data-powered live football experience that injects Madden NFL's unique brand elements as animated overlays," NBC said in its release.

Paul Burmeister, a stalwart in sports broadcasting, will call the game. Joining him will be former Green Bay Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert, professional Madden player Henry Leverette, and former wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, known for his time with the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots. Both Benkert and Ochocinco are not only former NFL players but also avid Madden enthusiasts, making them well-suited for this innovative broadcast.
