Title: NBA Set to Sign $7.4 Billion TV Deals with ESPN, NBC, and Amazon, Leaving TNT Analysts Disappointed

In a significant blow for TNT and its popular analysts, NBA chiefs are reportedly on the verge of signing lucrative television deals with ESPN, NBC, and Amazon. The combined value of these deals is rumored to reach a staggering $7.4 billion per year, leaving TNT's future coverage in jeopardy.

According to Sports Business Journal, the NBA is reaching the final stages of negotiations and is expected to formalize written contracts with all three companies this week. If these deals go through, it could spell the end of TNT's highly regarded show 'Inside the NBA', which features beloved basketball stars Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal as analysts.

Fans of 'Inside the NBA' will undoubtedly be disappointed by this news as the show's final run may approach next season. Rumors even suggest that TNT's parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, could potentially take legal action due to the loss of the NBA rights.

ESPN has reportedly secured the most coveted set of games, including the NBA finals, a conference final, weekly primetime matchups, and the WNBA. Their deal is said to be worth $2.8 billion per year. Meanwhile, NBC is set to shell out $2.6 billion annually for the 'B' package, which might include a show titled 'Basketball Night in America' airing on Sunday evenings after the NFL season.

According to sources, NBC's deal would also grant them a conference semifinals, a conference final, and two primetime slots per week. On the other hand, Amazon's deal, valued at up to $2 billion, would encompass the In-Season Tournaments, first-round playoff games, and the WNBA.

While NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal expressed confidence in the future of 'Inside the NBA', his co-host Charles Barkley seemed less certain. O'Neal stated that he believed Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav would "take care of business," but Barkley expressed sadness and uncertainty about the potential end of the show.

It is expected that final details of these TV deals will be ironed out over the coming week. NBA fans will be eagerly awaiting official announcements, while TNT's dedicated viewers hope for a resolution that allows their favorite analysts to continue entertaining and analyzing the game they love.
