The eagerly anticipated schedules for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series were announced on Thursday, sending ripples of excitement through the racing community. The upcoming year promises a mix of classic and new venues, promising an action-packed season for fans of both series.
Starting off with a bang, both series will kick off their respective seasons at the iconic Daytona International Speedway. The Craftsman Truck Series will take to the track on February 14, while the Xfinity Series will follow suit on February 15. The following week, both series will head to Atlanta Motor Speedway to continue the exhilarating racing action.
One of the standout highlights of the 2025 schedules is the return to the historic Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, North Carolina. The Truck Series will mark its first race at "The Rock" since 2013, with a thrilling race on April 18. The Xfinity Series, on the other hand, will make their comeback the next day, April 19, after a hiatus since 2004.
Jusan Hamilton, NASCAR managing director of competition operations, expressed the importance of developing drivers for the Xfinity and Cup Series through the Craftsman Truck Series. The schedules have been carefully crafted to provide a balanced mix of both series at various venues throughout the year, ensuring an engaging experience for fans and the industry.
In another exciting development, the Xfinity Series will venture beyond U.S. borders and make its international return to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City on June 14. The series will be joined by the NASCAR Cup Series on June 15, marking the Cup Series' first point-paying appearance outside of the United States since 1958. A total of four Xfinity Series races have taken place at the facility, with notable drivers like Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Kyle Busch securing victories between 2005 and 2008.
The 2025 schedule for the Craftsman Truck Series will showcase its affinity for road courses with two new additions. Lime Rock Park will make its inaugural appearance on the NASCAR calendar, hosting a standalone Truck Series race on June 28. Additionally, the revamped postseason for the Truck Series will feature a race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval as part of the Round of 8, prior to the championship-deciding finale at Phoenix Raceway.
The Xfinity Series' postseason structure will largely remain unchanged, with the regular-season finale at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway on September 6. The playoffs will kick off at Bristol Motor Speedway, followed by races at Kansas Speedway and the Charlotte road course in the opening Round of 12. Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, and Martinsville Speedway will then host the Round of 8 races, determining the Championship 4 contenders.
Fans and drivers alike are eagerly anticipating the electrifying races and intense competition that await them in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series. With the inclusion of iconic tracks like Rockingham Speedway and exciting firsts, such as the Truck Series' debut at Lime Rock Park, the upcoming season promises to be one for the books.
