In a shocking incident, six individuals were found dead under mysterious circumstances on Monday in a Thai hotel, in what appears to be a mass cyanide poisoning. Reports suggest that Sherine Chong, a resident of Oakland, is believed to be the culprit behind the tragic incident.

Authorities in Bangkok revealed that two of the victims were Americans, including Chong, while the other four were Vietnamese nationals. The group was discovered lifeless in Room 502 of the Grand Hyatt Erawan. Surprisingly, a full meal lay untouched on the table, with empty cups containing traces of cyanide found nearby.

Investigations revealed that only Chong was present in the room when hotel staff delivered tea and food around 2 p.m. on Monday. The remaining five individuals entered the room later. Preliminary findings suggest that Chong may have poisoned the tea with cyanide with intentions to end her own life and that of the others.

The bodies were discovered by a housekeeper after the guests failed to check out on Tuesday. Two of the victims were found in a bedroom, while the other four were in a living room. The head of the forensic medicine department at Chulalongkorn University's medical school confirmed cyanide was present in the blood of all six victims.

Authorities revealed that Chong had allegedly convinced the other victims to invest over $250,000 in construction projects, including a hospital venture in Japan. When progress on the projects stalled, legal action was taken by some of the victims against Chong.

With a court hearing scheduled in two weeks, Chong invited the group to meet for negotiations in Bangkok. All six victims had gathered in Chong's room, where the tragic incident took place.

The other victims have been identified as Dang Hung Van (55), Tran Dinh Phu (37), Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan (47), and a couple: Nguyen Thi Phuong (46) and Pham Hong Thanh (49).

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident to unravel the full extent of the conspiracy and gather more evidence regarding the motivation behind Sherine Chong's actions.

This shocking incident has sent shockwaves through the international community, shedding light on the tragic consequences of a bitter business dispute. The Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel management has expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.

The authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward and assist in bringing justice to the victims and their families.
