In a recent development, a music producer who previously sued Sean "Diddy" Combs for sexual assault has now added actor Cuba Gooding Jr. to his complaint. Rodney Jones, professionally known as Lil Rod, has accused Gooding of sexually harassing and assaulting him during a party on a yacht rented by Combs in the U.S. Virgin Islands in January 2023.
According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Jones claimed that Gooding began "touching, groping, and fondling" him during the said party. Feeling extremely uncomfortable, Jones attempted to lean away from Gooding and rejected his advances. It was only after forcefully pushing Gooding away that the alleged assaults ceased.
Jones's lawsuit contends that as the owner of the property, Combs had a duty to protect him from the harm he suffered at the hands of Gooding. It argues that Combs breached this duty by failing to intervene and stop the sexual assault.
Neither representatives for Jones nor Gooding have responded to Fox News Digital's request for immediate comment.
This is not the first time Gooding has faced allegations of sexual assault. In June 2023, the actor was set to appear in court to face accusations of rape. However, a settlement was reached with his unknown accuser just before jury selection was scheduled to begin.
Jones had initially filed his lawsuit against Combs in February, accusing him of sexually assaulting him and coercing him into performing sex acts with prostitutes. It is worth noting that Jones worked as a producer on Combs' latest album, "The Love Album: Off the Grid," and claimed to have lived with the renowned rapper for extended periods of time. He accused Combs of unsolicited groping and sexual touching.
In response to Jones's accusations, Combs' legal team vehemently denied them as "complete lies" and characterized Jones as a liar seeking an undeserved payday. The team claimed to possess overwhelming evidence disproving Jones's claims but alleged that their attempts to share this evidence with Jones's attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, had been ignored.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Combs' Los Angeles home was raided by Homeland Security officials, with agents also seen at his Miami residence. These raids are connected to an ongoing federal human trafficking investigation, but it remains unclear whether Combs is the target of the investigation.
Representatives for Combs have not immediately responded to Fox News Digital's request for comment regarding the raids.
As the legal proceedings continue, it is anticipated that both the accusations against Combs and the inclusion of Gooding in the lawsuit will be addressed in court. The truth behind these claims and the appropriate actions to be taken will be determined through the legal process.
