**MLB Revises All-Star Game Uniform Policies Starting in 2025**
In a move anticipated to resonate well with players and fans alike, Major League Baseball (MLB) has announced that starting in 2025, players participating in the MLB All-Star Game will once again don their primary home and road uniforms. This decision came after voices of discontent from players who have been wearing specially designed uniforms for the event since the 2021 All-Star Game in Colorado.
The return to traditional uniforms marks a shift from the recent trend that began in 2021, moving away from a long-standing tradition that lasted until the 2019 All-Star Game in Cleveland. This upcoming change, however, does not extend to the caps; players will continue to wear specially designed game caps for the exhibition.
In addition to the All-Star Game uniform updates, MLB is set to implement a series of alterations to the Nike Vapor Premier jersey design introduced this season. The jersey design faced considerable backlash from players, prompting the league, in collaboration with Nike and Fanatics, to solicit player feedback through their partnership with the MLB Players Association (MLBPA).
Among the forthcoming changes are increased pant customization options, a return to the materials used prior to the current season, and a revision in the sizing of the lettering for player names on the jersey backs, making them larger and more visible.
MLB has acknowledged that due to production schedules, these uniform changes will not be fully in place for the 2025 season. However, road gray uniforms made from 2023-season fabric will be available in time for spring training. Moreover, by the 2026 season, all uniforms will utilize the materials from the 2023 season, completing the transition.
