The tourist had been reported missing by his Greek-American friend after he was last seen at a cafe in the company of two female tourists.

The body of the man, identified as retired Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff Albert Calibet of Hermosa Beach, California, was discovered on Sunday by another tourist on a rocky beach on Mathraki.
