In an unexpected turn of events, the New York Mets' impressive winning streak has not only brought joy to fans but also captured the attention of fast-food giant McDonald's. After Grimace, McDonald's lovable purple character, threw out the first pitch at Citi Field last week, the Mets have gone on to secure seven consecutive wins, including a thrilling comeback victory on Tuesday night in Texas.

Embracing the Mets' success, McDonald's has taken to social media to showcase their partnership with Grimace. The company's X account has undergone a complete makeover, featuring eye-catching visuals of Grimace wearing a Mets hat adorned with the number 55, in line with the City Connect jersey presented to him by the team. The account's profile picture proudly displays Grimace donning the Mets hat, while the banner photo showcases him pulling a wagon bearing the Mets logo, all painted in the team's signature red color.

McDonald's has even updated their bio with a Mets-centric focus, proclaiming "mets go let's," expressing their support for the baseball team. Taking on the voice of Grimace, the account posted twice after the Mets' narrow 7-6 victory over the Rangers, expressing flattery at the "Grimacee effectt" and humorously mentioning how they had a "balll" during the game.

The Mets' TV home, SNY, also joined in on the fun by sharing a video on X. The clip featured Mets closer Edwin Diaz's entrance from the bullpen at Citi Field, with Grimace superimposed over his body. The video concluded with Grimace throwing out the first pitch at the home ballpark, adding an extra touch of entertainment for fans.

According to Forbes, the partnership between the Mets and Grimace had been in the works since last year and was finally realized in June. Mets social media manager Janey Murray expressed her excitement over the collaboration, explaining how Grimace's fun and beloved character perfectly aligns with the team's aim of creating an enjoyable atmosphere at the ballpark.

Grimace also managed to steal some of the spotlight at Globe Life Field in Arlington, as users on X, including @alsostphenking, shared photos and videos of themselves watching the Mets' victory while wearing purple sweaters adorned with Grimace's face.

With the Mets now a mere half-game away from securing a National League wild-card spot, it's safe to say that the winning streak has brought smiles to the faces of the fans. As they continue their remarkable run, the partnership between the Mets and McDonald's is likely to create even more excitement and enthusiasm among the team's loyal supporters.
