### Mets Announce Key Roster Changes Ahead of NLCS Clash with Dodgers

The Mets are having an extraordinary season in 2024, with just the Los Angeles Dodgers standing in their way of a World Series berth. As anticipation builds for Game 1 in Los Angeles at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday night, the Mets have revealed their National League Championship Series (NLCS) roster, featuring a notable return.

Right-handed pitcher Jose Butto is back on the roster, providing a significant boost to the team’s pitching lineup. Alongside Butto, other pivotal pitchers include Edwin Diaz, Reed Garrett, Phil Maton, Tylor Megill, Kodai Senga, Luis Severino, and Ryne Stanek. The left-handers rounding out the pitching staff are Sean Manaea, David Peterson, Jose Quintana, and Danny Young.

Unlike the previous playoff rounds, the Mets have opted to include only 12 pitchers, deciding to leave Adam Ottavino off the roster this time. This decision has allowed the team to add an extra position player, enhancing their roster's versatility. As a result, the Mets are carrying both Luisangel Acuña and Jeff McNeil, providing them with more flexibility off the bench for the crucial series.

Some key figures on the roster include Pete Alonso, Jose Iglesias, and Francisco Lindor, ensuring that the Mets have a balanced mix of seasoned veterans and promising talent as they take on the Dodgers. With the modified roster set, all eyes will be on the opening game as the Mets aim to continue their remarkable season by advancing to the World Series.
