**Significant Metal Debris Falls from AT&T Stadium Roof**
Earlier this week, a substantial piece of metal dislodged from the roof of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, during the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans game preparations. The incident occurred Monday evening as crews were opening the structure's roof, but thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
The metal fragment dropped shortly after the stadium's roof began retracting, landing perilously close to several production team members working below. Observations by FOX 4's Jeff Kolb suggested that there might be additional loose metal components in the roof area.
This incident is notable as the Cowboys had not hosted a home game with the roof open since October 2022. Following the metal fall, the stadium management decided to close the roof immediately. A spokesperson for the Cowboys confirmed the fall, which also included some smaller debris. They stated, "It is being reviewed further, and a decision regarding the ability to re-open the roof safely will be made when possible."
The Dallas Cowboys faced off against the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football, with the game slated to start at 7:15 p.m. This occurrence has raised concerns about the stadium's infrastructure, which are currently under review to ensure the safety of future events.
