In the latest twist in the ongoing drama between Super Bowl hero Mecole Hardman and his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs wideout has strongly refuted allegations that he leaked game plans during his brief stint with the New York Jets last season.

Taking to social media on Friday, Hardman dismissed the accusations made against him, asserting, "There were FALSE accusations made about me and MY CHARACTER! To set the record straight, I have never and would never leak game plans to another team." He further emphasized his dedication to winning, stating, "I have never been a person to give an opponent an upper hand. I always want to win no matter the circumstances!!!!!"

The allegations originated from a now-deleted post by Jets' cornerback Sauce Gardner, who responded to criticisms made by Hardman about the team during a recent podcast. According to reports, Gardner's message read, "We ain't gon talk about how our offensive game plan got leaked vs. the Eagles tho," as reported by the New York Post.

Hardman had begun the 2023 season with the Jets before being traded back to the Chiefs after just six games. During "The Pivot" podcast on Tuesday, he expressed his dissatisfaction with his experience in New York, particularly citing the lies and the team's handling of him. He also criticized the Jets' offense, claiming that they lacked a plan after quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury.

The wideout revealed that he had reached out to Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach and quarterback Patrick Mahomes early on, expressing his desire to return to Kansas City. He admitted to being mentally detached from the Jets, saying, "It was over with. I had already talked to Veach and Mahomes like, 'Come get me.'"

Hardman also denied allegations of tampering, asserting that he had never held talks with the Chiefs before the trade took place.

In the current season, Hardman rejoined the Chiefs and played a pivotal role in their Super Bowl victory against the San Francisco 49ers, scoring the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

While the drama between Hardman and his former team continues to unfold, the wide receiver remains steadfast in his denial of leaking game plans, asserting his unwavering commitment to winning and maintaining his character.
