### Holloway Considers Move Back to Lightweight Division After Loss

After his recent bout, Max Holloway is contemplating a return to the lightweight division, distancing himself from attributing any setbacks to his previous weight cut to featherweight. Holloway, who last fought at lightweight in April during UFC 300, captured the "BMF" title in thrilling fashion with a sensational knockout of Justin Gaethje.

Despite managing the cut to 145 pounds effectively, Holloway sees a potential future at 155 pounds. "I had the best '45 cut here, but what else is there to do?" Holloway remarked. "I had a couple of times to reclaim the featherweight title, new guys coming up, that would be fun, but I think '55 looks more fun as fighting just more the caliber, everyone there and the names there, it would look really exciting to put my name in the mix."

Though Holloway has not pinpointed an exact opponent for his lightweight return, the possibility of a third match with Dustin Poirier was mentioned. Holloway, however, playfully noted his lack of success against opponents who have bested him twice. Nonetheless, numerous engaging matchups await the 32-year-old veteran in the lightweight division.

Holloway indicated he does not plan to re-enter the ring until mid-2025. "We'll sit down with the team, relax, there's nothing needed to be rushing back right now," he said. "Probably try to come back summer, big July card in Vegas, do something, see what happens. [The 155-pound division] looks really good right now."

As fans eagerly wait, Holloway's next move might bring him into thrilling bouts that could redefine his career in the UFC.
