A tragic incident occurred on Saturday in Gorham, New Hampshire, where a 48-year-old Massachusetts woman lost her life in a snowmobile crash. The New Hampshire Fish and Game officials suspect that the crash, which took place around 12 p.m. on a remote trail near Pine Mountain, was a result of operator inexperience.

Despite the efforts of the Randolph Fire Department, located just five miles away from the accident site, the woman succumbed to serious injuries sustained after colliding with a tree. The firefighters utilized snowmobiles and a tracked rescue vehicle to reach the woman, who was found receiving CPR from her riding companion upon their arrival.

Despite the CPR efforts by both her companion and the rescuers, the woman was pronounced dead at approximately 1 p.m. Fish and Game authorities have not disclosed her identity nor specified her location in Massachusetts. The investigations suggest that lack of experience on the part of the rider played a significant role in the devastating crash.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safety and training when engaging in snowmobiling activities, especially in unfamiliar terrains. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim during this difficult time.
