As the 2024 NFL Draft concludes, attention has already shifted to the 2025 draft cycle. CBS Sports NFL Draft expert Ryan Wilson has released his early 2025 Mock Draft, giving us a glimpse into the top college football teams that will produce NFL draft talent in the upcoming season.

Among the teams to watch for the 2025 NFL Draft are LSU, Michigan, and Ohio State. These powerhouses have a significant number of players who are already being recognized as top picks in next year's draft.

LSU, known for its storied football program, could challenge Ohio State, Michigan, and Georgia for the highest number of first-round picks. Standouts from the Tigers include offensive lineman Will Campbell, linebacker Harold Perkins, and quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. Perkins, in particular, has garnered attention for his exceptional speed and versatility.

Michigan, fresh off a national championship run, continues to produce key players who are likely to be early-round picks in the 2025 draft. Defensive lineman Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant have caught the eye of NFL scouts, showcasing their skills on the field. The Wolverines' success in both recruiting and player development has contributed to their competitiveness in the draft.

Meanwhile, Ohio State, despite experiencing a slight dip in their 2024 draft performance, is expected to make a strong comeback in 2025. The Buckeyes have several players who have chosen to return for another year, bolstering the team's talent pool. Players like cornerback Denzel Burke and edge rusher JT Tuimoloau are highly regarded prospects who could see their draft stock skyrocket.

Other teams to watch include Georgia and Texas A&M. Georgia, known for its balanced talent across all positions, boasts notable prospects in quarterback Carson Beck, defensive back Malaki Starks, and offensive lineman Earnest Greene. Texas A&M, led by Mike Elko, has capitalized on both high-level recruiting and strategic additions through the transfer portal to secure NFL-caliber talent like edge rusher Nic Scourton and defensive lineman Shemar Turner.

Colorado, Penn State, and Notre Dame are also expected to have multiple early-round picks. Colorado's standout recruits, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and cornerback Travis Hunter, hold the potential to be top picks in the draft. Penn State's linebacker Abdul Carter and defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton are projected to continue the university's tradition of producing early-round selections. Notre Dame's cornerback Benjamin Morrison and quarterback Riley Leonard round out this group, with Leonard being a potential late riser in the draft discussion.

Lastly, Ole Miss, under the guidance of Lane Kiffin, has made use of the transfer portal to assemble a roster with future NFL talent. Portal additions like edge rusher Princely Umanmielen, defensive lineman Walter Nolen, and wide receiver Juice Wells have solidified the team's chances in the upcoming season.

While NFL Draft success does not solely determine the outcome of college football championships, these teams have positioned themselves as contenders through their impressive recruitment and player development. It will be fascinating to follow their progress throughout the 2024 season as they strive to secure their positions as top producers of NFL Draft picks in 2025.
