The Los Angeles Rams have announced that they have reached an agreement with Defensive Back John Johnson III, marking his third stint with the team. Johnson, who previously played for the Rams from 2017-2020 and rejoined them in 2023, brings with him a wealth of experience and skill.

Having appeared in 103 regular season games throughout his seven-year NFL career, Johnson has showcased his talent as a versatile and impactful player. With 540 career tackles, including 361 solo tackles, Johnson has proven himself to be a reliable force on the defensive end. He has also recorded 13 tackles for loss, 14 interceptions with 190 return yards, 47 passes defended, and 31 pass breakups.

In addition to his regular season performances, Johnson has made his mark in the postseason, starting in all seven playoff contests he has participated in with the Rams. During these games, he has contributed 42 tackles, one interception, three passes defended, and two pass breakups.

Originally selected by the Rams in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Johnson's return to the team signifies the organization's recognition of his valuable contributions on and off the field. Prior to his NFL career, Johnson honed his skills at Boston College, where he played in 45 games, making 27 starts. During his collegiate career, Johnson recorded 167 tackles, six interceptions, 14 passes defended, and 12 pass breakups.

As the Rams prepare to face the Cleveland Browns in Week 13 and the Washington Commanders in Week 15 of the 2023 NFL Regular Season, the addition of Johnson brings depth and experience to their defensive backfield. Fans can look forward to seeing Johnson's familiar presence on the field, as he continues to make an impact and contribute to the success of the team.

With Johnson's return, the Los Angeles Rams have solidified their defense and reestablished their trust in his abilities. The franchise hopes that the reunion with Johnson will lead to continued success and help propel them towards their goals for the 2023 season and beyond.
