According to sources, the Rams are actively calling to secure a spot in the top-10 picks, marking their first first-round selection since 2016.

General Manager Les Snead has a history of trading up in the draft, and this time seems to be no different. In the past, Snead successfully traded up to acquire West Virginia wide receiver Tavon Austin in 2013 and Cal quarterback Jared Goff with the first overall pick in 2016.

The Rams' desire to move up in the draft has been a topic of speculation for some time, as they strive to add top-tier talent to their roster. While the exact player the Rams are targeting remains unknown, there are rumors circulating around Texas defensive lineman Byron Murphy potentially going in the top-10. Murphy could be a suitable replacement for the defensive hole left by star player Aaron Donald.

The Rams' aggressive approach to trading up indicates that head coach Sean McVay has a player he is particularly enamored with. Dianna Russini from The Athletic revealed, "There is obviously a player that Sean McVay is IN LOVE WITH right now, and they are willing to MOVE UP to go get that guy... We don't know who that's going to be just yet... I don't believe this to be a quarterback."

Considering the Rams' need for offensive weapons, it is likely that they are eyeing a talented wide receiver. Rome Odunze and Malik Nabers are potential targets if they fall in the draft, while tackle prospects like Joe Alt or Olu Fashanu could also be on the Rams' radar.

A logical trade partner for the Rams could be the Atlanta Falcons, who hold the number eight overall pick. The connections between the two franchises, including Rams' former defensive coordinator Raheem Morris now serving as the Falcons' head coach, make this trade scenario a possibility. Furthermore, Snead's long tenure with the Falcons prior to joining the Rams adds to the potential for a trade agreement.

It's clear that the Rams are wasting no time as they dive into trade discussions even before the draft has commenced. Excitement is building among Rams fans as they eagerly await the outcome of the team's aggressive moves to secure the perfect addition to their roster.
