### Cooper Kupp Set to Return Thursday; Puka Nacua Designated to Practice
The Los Angeles Rams are anticipating the return of one of their star wide receivers, Cooper Kupp, who is poised to make a comeback from injury in Thursday night's game. Meanwhile, Puka Nacua, part of the Rams' formidable receiving duo, took a significant step towards rejoining the team by getting back on the practice field on Tuesday.
Nacua has been battling a knee injury that has severely limited his playtime in the 2024 season. After only managing 25 snaps so far, the Rams officially opened Nacua's 21-day practice window, signaling his return from injured reserve. This comes after he aggravated a knee issue during the second quarter of the Rams' Week 1 overtime loss to the Lions. During that game, before his early exit, Nacua made four receptions totaling 35 yards.
The Rams placed Nacua on injured reserve shortly after his Week 1 departure. Following his absence and the subsequent ankle injury to Cooper Kupp in Week 2, the Rams' offense has struggled to maintain its usual potency. With the duo sidelined, the team has averaged only 212.8 passing yards and 19.0 points per game, contributing to a lackluster 2-4 record as they approach Week 8.
The return of Kupp against the Minnesota Vikings this Thursday night is expected to provide a much-needed lift for head coach Sean McVay’s offense. With Nacua taking initial steps towards his comeback, there is hope that the Rams can recapture some of their offensive firepower and turn their season around.
