In a recent NFLPA report card evaluation, the Detroit Lions' training staff and facilities have seen a significant improvement, moving up to the top half of the league after being in the bottom half last year. The report highlighted that the players have acknowledged the positive changes, citing a more individualized care approach under the new training staff.

While strides have been made in the training area, the team's food and nutrition program remain an area in need of improvement. Despite some progress in overall rankings, only 67% of players reported having an individualized nutrition plan, placing the Lions 25th in the NFL in this category. Players did note some improvements in the food quality, with better-tasting and fresher options now available, but expressed a desire for further enhancements.

Head coach Dan Campbell received high praise in the report, earning an impressive A+ average grade from the players. Notably, Detroit ranked third in the percentage of players who feel that Campbell is receptive to feedback from the locker room.

Overall, the Lions now rank in the upper half of the league in every category except food and nutrition, underscoring the progress the franchise has made in moving away from its historically poor reputation. While the training staff revamp has garnered positive feedback, attention to enhancing the nutrition program is identified as a key area for further growth in the organization's continuous evolution.
