In a surprising turn of events, singer Taylor Swift has been drawn into a legal tussle involving "It Ends With Us" director Justin Baldoni and actress Blake Lively. On Friday, Baldoni's legal team issued a subpoena to Swift, amidst accusations against Lively, once a close friend of Swift.

According to Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, Michael Gottlieb, a lawyer for Lively, attempted to coerce Swift into making a public declaration in support of Lively. Freedman claims that Gottlieb threatened to disclose sensitive text messages between Swift and Lively if Swift didn't comply. To substantiate these allegations, Freedman is now seeking communications between Gottlieb and Swift's legal representatives.

This contentious claim follows previous allegations by Baldoni’s camp, which insist that Swift, along with Lively's husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, had exerted undue pressure on Baldoni to agree to Lively's desired changes in a rooftop scene of the film. A particular text message referring to Swift and Reynolds as Lively's "dragons" and Lively as "Khaleesi" was highlighted as evidence of their influence.

Swift’s legal team, led by Venable, has strongly contested the subpoena. They argue that neither Swift nor her legal advisors possess any relevant information to the case. They further suggest that the subpoena is a tactic meant to divert attention from the core issues of the lawsuit.
