**Las Vegas Raiders Shake Up Offensive Staff After 41-24 Loss to Cincinnati**

In the aftermath of a crushing 41-24 defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Las Vegas Raiders have decided to make significant changes to their coaching staff. Gardner Minshew was benched for Desmond Ridder during the game, and hours later, the team announced the dismissal of offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, offensive line coach James Cregg, and quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello. This decision comes as the Raiders' season record plummeted to 2-7.

Luke Getsy's tenure with the Raiders was notably brief, lasting only nine games in a season filled with offensive struggles. The Raiders' offense ranked 28th in total offense and 26th in scoring before the match against the Bengals. The quarterback position has been a point of instability, with Minshew and Aidan O'Connell previously alternating as starters. Ridder, who was acquired from the Cardinals' practice squad in late October, stepped in as the quarterback during Sunday's game, leaving interim coach Antonio Pierce non-committal about sticking with him for future games.

Before his stint with the Raiders, Getsy was the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears, where he faced criticism due to inconsistent performances by quarterback Justin Fields. He also garnered attention for his work with the Green Bay Packers, serving as Aaron Rodgers' quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator from 2020-2021, a period when Rodgers secured back-to-back NFL MVP titles. Despite these credentials, the rapid dismissal of Getsy marks one of the quickest firings of an NFL assistant, second only to the seven-game stint of Arizona Cardinals' offensive coordinator Mike McCoy in 2018.

Scott Turner, the passing game coordinator, is considered a potential candidate to assume the role of offensive play-caller, according to NFL Media. Alongside Getsy, both James Cregg and Rich Scangarello also found themselves being let go. Cregg had joined the Raiders after two years with the San Francisco 49ers as the assistant offensive line coach. Scangarello, meanwhile, transitioned to the Raiders following roles including offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos in 2019 and at the University of Kentucky in 2022.

With these significant changes, the Raiders are looking to overhaul their strategy in hopes of revitalizing their floundering season.
