In an exciting development for doughnut lovers across the United States, Krispy Kreme and McDonald's have announced plans to expand their partnership, bringing three delicious doughnut flavors to menus at McDonald's restaurants. Following a successful test in 160 locations around Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky, a phased market rollout is expected to begin later this year, with nationwide availability projected by the end of 2026.

The mouthwatering yeast doughnuts will be delivered fresh daily and will be available throughout the day, while supplies last. Customers can indulge in these delectable treats individually or in boxes of six, starting from breakfast time. The partnership will include three of Krispy Kreme's most popular doughnuts: the iconic Original Glazed Doughnut, the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut, and the Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled Doughnut.

Expressing excitement about the collaboration, McDonald's USA CMO Tariq Hassan stated, "Since the launch of breakfast nearly 50 years ago, we've continued to offer new menu items, flavors, and experiences that have made McDonald's an irreplaceable part of fans' morning routines." Hassan further emphasized that this partnership presents an opportunity to unlock new business opportunities in the breakfast category and beyond.

Josh Charlesworth, Krispy Kreme's President and CEO, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that the partnership with McDonald's will bring expanded reach for doughnut enthusiasts nationwide. Charlesworth stated, "The top request we receive from consumers, every day, is, 'Please bring Krispy Kreme to my town.' Partnering with McDonald's on a national scale will provide our fans and doughnut lovers unprecedented daily access to fresh doughnuts and the joy that is Krispy Kreme." He also highlighted the expansion prospects brought forth by this collaboration, projecting that their points of access will more than double by the end of 2026.

Both companies plan to release more details about the nationwide rollout in the upcoming months. The extended availability of Krispy Kreme doughnuts through McDonald's marks a significant milestone in the partnership, accelerating the development of Krispy Kreme's existing Delivered Fresh Daily channel and creating operational leverage through distribution density and production utilization.
