King Charles III and Queen Camilla made a notable appearance at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, attending the Service of Dedication for the Order of the British Empire. The royal couple donned striking red robes as they stepped out for the event held on Wednesday.

This appearance comes just one week after the royal family skipped Prince Harry's 10th anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games at the same historic venue. During the event, Charles and Camilla were notably absent as they attended the first garden party of the season at Buckingham Palace.

Royal expert Christopher Anderson commented on the significance of Charles and Camilla attending the recent service while snubbing their son's event. He remarked that their actions suggest that Prince Harry is "no longer on their radar."

While Charles and Camilla missed the Invictus Games service, it was previously announced that Charles would be unable to meet with his son during Harry's three-day trip to the UK to commemorate the games' anniversary. Anderson further emphasized that a private meeting, however brief, would have been a positive step forward.

The Service of Dedication for the Order of the British Empire is a ceremonious event held every four years. Charles holds the position of Sovereign of the OBE, while Camilla serves as the Grand Master, holding the second-highest position within the order.

According to the Evening Standard, the hour-long service was attended by 2,000 individuals who have received honors from both the UK and the Commonwealth. The OBE was originally established in 1917 by King George V to recognize contributions to the country's war efforts. The scope has since expanded to include contributions in the arts, sciences, charitable work, and public service.

Prince William did not attend the service as he was occupied with an investiture ceremony, while the Princess of Wales is taking time off from her official duties to focus on her cancer treatment. It was also noted that Charles recently returned to public duties amid his own battle with an unspecified form of cancer.

Upon Harry's return to the US, he and his wife, Meghan Markle, embarked on a trip to Nigeria at the invitation of the Chief of Defense Staff. Their visit aimed to strengthen ties with the African country.
