Cleveland Heights-raised brothers, Jason and Travis Kelce, have ventured into the beer industry by becoming the largest investors in Columbus-based Garage Beer. The Kelces, known for their successful football careers, have joined forces with the brand's owners to expand the business.

The Kelces and Garage Beer's owners have been working on the deal for some time, and the partnership was recently formalized. In a press release, the beer company expressed their excitement, mentioning that the Kelce brothers will have a hand in all aspects of the business, including brewing, distribution, sales, marketing, and national expansion efforts.

Created in Cincinnati, where the Kelces played football for the University of Cincinnati, Garage Beer has already gained popularity in several states. It is currently distributed in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, West Virginia, Idaho, Montana, and New Jersey. With plans for further expansion, the company aims to reach an even larger consumer base by entering dozens of additional states this year.

When asked about their involvement, Jason Kelce emphasized the importance of quality and simplicity in Garage Beer, stating, "People crave quality and simplicity, and Garage Beer nails both for me. We are light beer drinkers, and Garage is the best light beer." Travis Kelce also shared his excitement, saying, "Being an owner of Garage Beer and heavily involved in making the best light beer is exciting, man! It comes down to quality for me."

Garage Beer currently offers two varieties on the market, a light lager and lime. Both options have a moderate alcohol content of 4%, making them suitable for light beer enthusiasts. With just 95 calories and 3 grams of carbohydrates, these beers provide a refreshing and lighter alternative.

This isn't the first time a football player with Cleveland ties has dabbled in the beer industry. In 2018, Joe Thomas, a former Cleveland Browns player, was involved in creating Great Lakes Brewing Co.'s 73 Kolsch, which continues to be a popular choice among beer enthusiasts.

While it remains uncertain whether Travis Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will indulge in a Garage beer or two, the potential for celebrity endorsements could prove to be an interesting advertising opportunity for the brand. The Kelces' endorsement and involvement in the brewery undoubtedly bring added attention and credibility to Garage Beer.

With their passion for the product and extensive involvement in all aspects of the business, the Kelce brothers are well-positioned to contribute to the future success and expansion of Garage Beer. As the company plans to make its mark in numerous states, beer enthusiasts eagerly await the opportunity to sample this brew crafted by football legends turned beer entrepreneurs.
