Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is facing further legal troubles as he is now under investigation for allegedly assaulting a photographer at a nightclub in Dallas. According to Dallas TV station WFAA, Rice's alleged involvement in the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.

Confirmation of the investigation comes from Dallas police, who responded to a call about an assault at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday. The incident reportedly took place in the 600 block of North Harwood Street. The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was able to self-transport to a local hospital.

This recent investigation adds to Rice's previous legal issues. In March, he was charged with eight felony counts after being involved in a high-speed, multi-car crash on a Dallas expressway. The severity of these charges brought attention to the NFL's personal conduct policy, leaving Rice potentially facing a suspension.

Both Commissioner Roger Goodell and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid have expressed their intention to let the judicial process unfold before making any further comments on the matter. The NFL typically follows a protocol of waiting for court proceedings to conclude before determining appropriate punishments in criminal cases.

As the investigation into Rice's alleged assault continues, the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL will closely monitor any developments before taking any further action. The outcome of this investigation will greatly impact Rice's standing both on and off the field, and he awaits the conclusion of the legal process to determine the potential consequences he may face under NFL regulations.
