**Kamala Harris Reacts to Maya Rudolph's Latest SNL Impression**

Vice President Kamala Harris has finally caught up with Maya Rudolph's acclaimed impressions of her on Saturday Night Live. Although fans have been enjoying Rudolph's skits for years, Harris only recently had the chance to see the comedian's portrayal during an appearance on The View. The show played a clip from SNL's September 28, 2024 episode, which included Rudolph's now-viral "Va-Georgia" joke.

"She's so good. Maya Rudolph, she's so good. She's so good," Harris remarked, clearly impressed. "She had the whole thing—the suit, the jewelry, everything. Wow, the mannerisms!" In this particular SNL episode, marking the show's 50th season premiere, Jim Gaffigan played Harris's running mate, Governor Tim Walz, Andy Samberg took on the role of Doug Emhoff, and Dana Carvey returned to portray President Joe Biden.

To the delight of SNL fans, Rudolph's return to the role of Vice President Harris was announced back in July. Rudolph first debuted this character in December 2019, earning her an Emmy Award for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. She reprised the role during the 2020 election cycle and once again when she hosted the show in March 2021, which garnered her a second Emmy for the performance.

Reflecting on her portrayal, Rudolph shared with Variety that she aims to capture the fun-loving side of Harris. "I said, 'When I see her, I see her having fun,'" Rudolph explained. The fictional Kamala they created taps into this facet, creating a character reminiscent of a "fun aunt" or "funt," a term coined by SNL producer Steve Higgins’ wife. This playful angle has helped Rudolph shape a memorable and affectionate impersonation of the Vice President.
