**Julius Randle's Trade to Minnesota Spurs Emotional Goodbye from Family**

Bidding farewell to New York has been a heartfelt experience for Julius Randle and his family, but a sense of optimism prevails as they look forward to a fresh start in Minnesota. Following a dramatic trade on Friday, which saw Randle leaving the Knicks alongside Donte DiVincenzo and DaQuan Jeffries in exchange for the Timberwolves' Karl-Anthony Towns, Randle’s wife, Kendra, took to social media to reflect on their time in New York.

In an Instagram Story on Saturday, Kendra, who has been married to the 6-foot-8 forward-center for seven years, expressed gratitude for the unforgettable memories created at Madison Square Garden. Sharing her thoughts with followers, she reminisced about their son Kye's formative years in New York and the warmth of the community they are leaving behind. "Kye Kye grew up in the Garden. We got here when he was 1.5 years old and this year he will be 8. So many of you embraced him/us and made this experience unforgettable and I'm forever grateful," Kendra wrote. Despite the bittersweet nature of the move, Kendra is enthusiastic about beginning a "new, healthy chapter" in Minnesota.

Kendra's touching posts included re-shared messages from devoted Knicks fans, among them actor Ben Stiller. Stiller praised Randle’s contributions to the team and wished him well in his future endeavors. "Grateful for his time here. He is an all star and we're lucky to have had him. Wish him all the best in Minnesota, he is going to bring a lot of toughness and grit and dedication to that team and community," Stiller said in his post, to which Kendra responded, "Well said thank you."

Earlier in the day, Kendra had signaled her readiness for the move with the words, "Scary hours: Minnesota here we come." Indeed, anticipation runs high as Randle prepares to join the Timberwolves.

Julius Randle, who was picked in the first round by the Lakers in 2014, spent four seasons with Los Angeles before moving to the Pelicans in 2018. He signed with the Knicks the following year, initially securing a three-year, $63 million contract, and later receiving a four-year, $117 million extension in 2021. During his five seasons with New York, Randle averaged impressive stats with 22.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.

Randle's recent shoulder surgery ended his season prematurely, just prior to the Knicks' playoff run which saw them reach the second round before being edged out by the Indiana Pacers in a seven-game series. However, Randle shared in June that his recovery is "ahead of schedule," assuring fans that he will be ready for the start of the upcoming season.
