Last Friday, the judge ruled that Trump and the Trump Organization must pay a total of $453.5 million in fines and interest for fraudulent activities over a decade. The ruling includes a ban on seeking loans from New York financial institutions for three years, an oversight requirement for the company, and a prohibition on Trump serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation for the same time period.

Despite Trump vowing to appeal the ruling and criticizing Judge Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James for political motivations, the judge is moving forward with enforcing the judgment. To appeal, Trump would need to post a bond covering the $354 million in penalties, which could require selling some of his assets. If Trump fails to pay the fine, Attorney General James is prepared to take action to ensure that the judgment is paid to New Yorkers. The judge's decision has been upheld, and the legal battle over the substantial fines and penalties is ongoing.
