Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has responded to former President Donald Trump's recent remarks about his Oscars bit, where he poked fun at Trump's Truth Social post. While other late-night hosts are taking a break this week, Kimmel didn't waste any time addressing Trump's comments.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump expressed his disdain for Kimmel mentioning him in his show. However, Kimmel took the opportunity to fire back, saying, "I shouldn't be surprised - Donald Trump has said I'm not talented so many times Eric is starting to get jealous. But what he doesn't realize is that I love this. I love that this bothered him so much."

Kimmel further poked fun at Trump's choice of Fox News for the interview, stating, "I love that Fox picked a news guy nobody knows to interview him." He also mocked Trump's attempt to spin the situation, saying, "I especially love when he tries to spin the fact that everyone was laughing at him into a positive."

Trump retorted, claiming that Kimmel's actions proved his lack of intelligence. However, Kimmel didn't back down, replaying his joke from the Oscars bit, which received a viral response. "Barbie was laughing at you!" Kimmel gloated, adding that merchandise with the joke is now available for sale.

In another jab at Trump, Kimmel joked about the former president's legal troubles, highlighting his lawyers' inability to find someone to put up the $454 million bond required to cover his debts to the state of New York. "Gee, I wonder why," Kimmel sarcastically remarked, imagining the phone call to potential supporters.

Kimmel also addressed Trump's recent rally in Ohio, where the former president promised a "bloodbath" if he was not re-elected. While pundits debated the meaning behind Trump's words, Kimmel focused on the larger context. "The truth is the context we should be considering isn't whether or not Trump meant bloodbath literally, it's that he's such a lunatic, we actually have to debate if he meant it literally," Kimmel emphasized.

As late-night hosts take a break, Jimmy Kimmel continues to entertain and engage with his signature humor, unafraid to clap back at Trump's comments and keep the conversation lively.
