Jimmy Kimmel, the host of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", is currently embroiled in a fraud lawsuit filed by former congressman George Santos. Santos has accused Kimmel of deceiving him into recording defamatory videos on the personalized video-sharing platform Cameo. The lawsuit, filed on Saturday, alleges that Kimmel manipulated Santos into creating these videos with the intention of mocking his personality for entertainment purposes.

During a recent episode of his show, Kimmel addressed the lawsuit, talking about how Santos recorded absurd messages after being provided with a fake credit card number, only to now claim that he was misled. Kimmel found humor in the situation, mocking the lawsuit as "the most preposterous lawsuit of all time." He revealed that the segments featuring Santos were a product of Kimmel purchasing clips through fake Cameo profiles and airing them in a segment called "Will Santos Say It?"

Santos, who was expelled from the House of Representatives in December, had gained popularity on Cameo, where he reportedly made over $80,000 per day. Kimmel's response to the lawsuit was laced with amusement, highlighting the irony of the situation and joking about being represented by the law firm of Pot, Kettle, and Black.

Despite the legal action taken against him, Kimmel seemed entertained by the lawsuit, comparing it to "getting sued for paternity by Nick Cannon." The case has garnered attention for its unusual circumstances and the comedic approach taken by Kimmel in response to Santos' claims.
