In a recent interview with ET, actor Jeremy Allen White spoke out about the attention he has received after his appearance in a "bizarre" Calvin Klein ad, shortly after his Golden Globes win. White, known for his role in the comedy Ricky Stanicky, has garnered an increasing amount of fame and success since his time on the long-running series Shameless.

White's former co-star and on-screen father, William H. Macy, expressed his pride in White's accomplishments, stating, "He's got a huge career. I'm really proud of him." Macy went on to praise White's lead role in FX's critically acclaimed series, The Bear, and even jokingly mentioned his appearance on billboards in his underwear.

The Calvin Klein ad in question created a buzz on the internet when it was released in January. The ad features White wearing nothing but Calvin Klein underwear and his signature curly locks, standing on top of a building with the New York City skyline as the backdrop. Discussing the venture in an interview with GQ, White revealed that the campaign felt like a full-circle moment for him as a native New Yorker. Despite his successful Hollywood career, White confessed that he still couldn't envision starring in such a campaign or being prominently displayed on a massive billboard.

Macy couldn't resist teasing White about the ad, stating that he had to call his former co-star and remind him to "put your pants on." Macy humorously referenced their time together on Shameless, where White frequently had his pants off. Acknowledging the cast's enduring bond, Emma Kenney, another Shameless star, spoke highly of White's achievements and expressed her admiration for his talent.

While discussing the possibility of a cameo on the ABC sitcom The Conners, Kenney mused about White's busy schedule but didn't rule out the chance of him making an appearance. Kenney also mentioned the idea proposed by Laurie Metcalf, another cast member, of White playing a supremely overqualified chef at the Lanford Lunch Box who had attended culinary school.

Fans can look forward to seeing William H. Macy in Ricky Stanicky, which will make its debut on Prime Video on March 7. White's continued success and burgeoning career are certain to keep fans anxiously awaiting his next project.
