Jennifer Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after two years of marriage, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. The divorce papers were filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles, coincidentally on the same day as their second wedding anniversary ceremony that took place in Georgia.

In the filing, Lopez listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024, indicating that the couple has been living apart for nearly four months. While it is not yet clear if there is a prenuptial agreement in place, sources close to the situation have revealed that the exes did not previously have one. If this is the case, all assets accumulated during their short-lived marriage would be considered community property.

Lopez has reportedly waived her right to spousal support and has requested that the judge deny Affleck any support as well. The Post has reached out to representatives for both Lopez and Affleck for comment but has not received any responses at the time of this report.

The couple was last photographed together in May and there have been noticeable absences during important events. Affleck was notably absent from Lopez's 55th birthday celebrations in the Hamptons, which had a "Bridgerton" theme, back in July. Additionally, they were not seen together on the second anniversary of their Vegas wedding that same month.

Recently, Lopez was spotted at Affleck's rental home on his 52nd birthday, however, he was not seen at the Bruno Mars concert she attended, where she danced the night away. This further fueled speculation about the state of their relationship.

Affleck and Lopez's romantic history dates back to 2002 when they first became a couple. However, they called off their engagement in 2004 and went on to marry and have children with other partners. It was only in 2021 that they rekindled their relationship.

In a February interview with People, Lopez spoke about their rekindled romance, saying, "We're older now, we're smarter, we have more experience, we're at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things." She emphasized that their relationship was built on love and respect for one another.

The couple tied the knot at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in July 2022. They later had a second, more extravagant wedding ceremony at Affleck's home in Riceboro, Georgia, on August 20, 2022.

Affleck shares three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, with his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, whom he split from in 2015. Lopez, on the other hand, is a mother to twins Emme and Max from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony.
