In an exciting announcement, Jeep has officially revealed its first global electric vehicle (EV), the Wagoneer S. This premium electric SUV is set to make waves with its impressive range, tech-loaded interior, and lightning-quick acceleration. Alongside the Wagoneer S, Jeep also introduced the rugged Trailhawk concept, designed to conquer any terrain.

At the release event, Jeep's CEO, Antonio Filosa, expressed his enthusiasm for the launch of the all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S, stating that it marks a new chapter in the storied history of the Jeep brand. After months of anticipation, the curtains were finally lifted on the Wagoneer S, which Filosa described as distinctly a Jeep and 100% electric.

The launch edition of the Wagoneer S boasts exhilarating performance, packing 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque. This electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and is expected to offer an impressive range of over 300 miles. Equipped with a 400V, 100 kWh battery, the Wagoneer S can charge from 20% to 80% in a quick 23 minutes using a DC fast charger.

Built on the STLA Large platform, which is also set to underpin the forthcoming electric Dodge Charger, the Wagoneer S has been meticulously tuned by Jeep designers and engineers to meet the brand's specific requirements. The standard four-wheel drive (4WD) system incorporates Jeep's signature Selec-Terrain, offering multiple drive modes for excellent traction in various road and weather conditions.

Jeep has placed significant emphasis on incorporating cutting-edge technology and features in the Wagoneer S. Engineers have improved body torsion stiffness by 35% compared to other mid-size Jeep SUVs, resulting in reduced interior noise and vibration for a smoother and more serene ride. With a focus on aerodynamics, Jeep has achieved a carbon dioxide drag (CD) of 0.29, making it 15% more efficient than the average SUV.

Stepping inside the Wagoneer S, one immediately notices the impressive array of tech and luxury features. The cockpit is fully digital, anchored by a massive "best-in-class" screen with over 45" of usable space. Additionally, a 10.25" interactive screen exclusively for the front passenger adds to the high-tech experience. The interior also includes a wine-red-stitched steering wheel, electronic door releases, customizable LED lighting with up to 64 colors, and a premium 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.

In terms of pricing and availability, Jeep has announced that the Wagoneer S will be available at dealerships in the US and Canada starting in fall 2024. The starting price for the Wagoneer S Launch Edition, including destination charges, is set at $71,995.

As a further testament to Jeep's commitment to its rugged heritage, the brand has also unveiled the Wagoneer S Trailhawk EV concept. Built on the same STLA Large platform, this concept vehicle showcases the true off-road capabilities of the all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S lineup. It features enhancements such as Rock mode in the Selec-Terrain system, a driver-selectable rear axle locker, 31.5" all-terrain tires, a lifted suspension, heavy-duty tow hooks, and air extractors.

Jeep enthusiasts and electric vehicle enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Wagoneer S and its Trailhawk variant. With its impressive range, advanced technology, and off-road capabilities, Jeep's first foray into the world of EVs is poised to make a significant impact in the industry.
