In a shocking turn of events, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced that a shipment of Jaromir Jagr bobbleheads has been stolen after arriving in California. The highly anticipated collectibles were meant to be distributed to fans before the Penguins' game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

The Penguins wasted no time in addressing the incident, immediately launching an investigation in collaboration with the manufacturer and transportation companies. They have also alerted state and federal authorities, who are currently working diligently to locate the stolen merchandise.

"We were shocked to be a victim of cargo theft, and we are working closely with local and federal authorities on the investigation," said Penguins President of Business Operations, Kevin Acklin, in a statement. Acklin further added, "While this unfortunate incident adds to the legend of Jaromir Jagr, who will be in attendance as our guest at tonight's game, we look forward to resolving this theft and delivering the prized Jagr bobbleheads to their rightful homes, with our fans."

Unfazed by the setback, the Penguins' social media team showcased their humorous side by sharing a video on their official X account. The video depicted Jagr himself getting into a truck, strapping a Jagr bobblehead into the passenger seat, and embarking on a mission to recover the missing collectibles.

Meanwhile, fans who were eagerly anticipating their Jagr bobbleheads need not worry. All attendees of Thursday's game will receive a voucher with a scannable barcode, which they can use to pick up their bobbleheads at a later date. Once the stolen bobbleheads are located, fans who attended Thursday's game will have the opportunity to collect their coveted memorabilia.

The theft adds another layer of intrigue to Jagr's legacy, who just last month had his No. 68 retired by the Penguins in a special ceremony. Jagr himself is currently in town to participate in former teammate Mario Lemieux's fantasy camp and is slated to be in attendance for Thursday's game at PPG Paints Arena.

As the search for the stolen Jagr bobbleheads continues, fans remain hopeful that these cherished collectibles will soon find their way back into the hands of the Penguins faithful. The team and authorities remain committed to resolving this incident and ensuring that the prized bobbleheads reach their rightful owners.
