### Jameis Winston to Start for Browns Against Ravens in Week 8
The Cleveland Browns are facing continuous challenges at the quarterback position. With Deshaun Watson ruled out for the season and Dorian Thompson-Robinson dealing with a finger injury, the team is seeking stability under center. To bolster their quarterback depth, the Browns signed Bailey Zappe on Tuesday.
In Week 7, Cleveland made Jameis Winston their inactive, emergency quarterback while promoting Thompson-Robinson. Despite this, sources indicate that Winston, who brings significant experience, was not demoted. According to a report by Jordan Schultz, Winston is set to start in the upcoming Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson was listed as Watson's backup purely based on the specific game plan, according to Schultz's understanding. Although Thompson-Robinson's injury did not seem to factor into last week's decision, there are updates about his condition. Brad Stainbrook reported that Thompson-Robinson has injured a tendon in one of his throwing hand fingers. While the current belief is that he won't miss multiple weeks, his ability to throw the football remains a critical test. He will wear a splint during recovery when not throwing.
The Browns are not obligated to officially name their starting quarterback ahead of time, but they will need to disclose practice participation levels starting Wednesday. Head Coach Kevin Stefanski is expected to withhold any specific quarterback announcements unless Thompson-Robinson is confirmed unable to play.
