According to sources familiar with the matter, iOS 18 is expected to introduce new features that provide iPhone users with greater control over their Home Screen app icon arrangement. While maintaining a uniformity with an invisible grid system, users will have the ability to arrange icons more freely on iOS 18, as reported by insiders.

The update aims to enhance the customization options for iPhone users, allowing them to personalize their Home Screens according to their preferences. However, specific details about these customization options have not been disclosed at this time. Nevertheless, the rumored changes are anticipated to be unveiled at Apple's annual developers conference, WWDC, which will take place in June.

In addition to the Home Screen enhancements, the next-generation iPad Pro is rumored to feature a landscape-oriented front-facing camera for the very first time. Renowned Apple leaker "Instant Digital" reiterated this design change on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media platform. The leaker's post included a 2D image showcasing the shifted placement of the TrueDepth camera array to the right side of the device, alongside the microphone.

Apple has also recently announced three new iOS features that are set to be released later this year. These include the ability for eligible developers in the European Union to distribute iPhone apps on the web, Rich Communication Services (RCS) support in the Messages app, and the introduction of next-generation CarPlay.

Moreover, Apple has launched a new website section called "Why Upgrade," aimed at encouraging customers with older iPhones to consider upgrading to a newer model. This section allows users to compare the features of their current iPhone models, such as the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max, with the upcoming iPhone 15 series, consisting of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

As Apple's iPhone development roadmap extends several years into the future, it is not uncommon for leaks and rumors to surface ahead of the official product launches. For instance, speculation has already begun about the iPhone 17 series, which is expected to be part of Apple's 2025 smartphone lineup.

Overall, iOS 18's enhanced Home Screen customization, the potential landscape front-facing camera for the next iPad Pro, and the upcoming features announced by Apple demonstrate the company's commitment to providing its users with a more tailored and advanced mobile experience. Apple enthusiasts can look forward to further details about iOS 18's features and changes during WWDC in June.
