Tennessee officials are looking into whether University of Missouri student Riley Strain was served alcohol while visibly intoxicated at a popular Nashville bar before he vanished. The 22-year-old student, who was visiting the city for a spring formal with his fraternity, disappeared shortly after being asked to leave country music star Luke Bryan's bar, Luke's 32 Bridge Food + Drink.

The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission is investigating the possibility that Strain was overserved alcohol on the night of March 8. Aaron Rummage, the commission's communications director, confirmed that serving alcohol to someone who is visibly intoxicated is prohibited by state law and can result in a class A misdemeanor.

According to Strain's stepfather, Chris Whiteid, the Missouri student left the bar at 9:45 p.m., informing his friends that he was walking back to his hotel. However, Strain never made it back to the hotel. Security footage released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police captured Strain crossing 1st Avenue North to Gay Street at 9:47 p.m. In the video, he can be seen swaying and doing a full 360-degree turn before continuing his walk.

Luke's 32 Bridge, touted as the official restaurant and venue of Luke Bryan, is cooperating with the police investigation. The operator and owner, TC Restaurant Group, has shared security camera footage and other potentially helpful information to aid in the search for Strain. Luke Bryan expressed his concern on Instagram, saying, "Y'all, this is scary. Praying for his safe return."

Strain is described as a 6-foot-5 individual with a thin build, blue eyes, and light brown hair, although his family believes he is 6-foot-7. A search effort, involving ground and air operations as well as riverbank searches, has been conducted near the area where Strain was last seen. Two city emergency management boats equipped with sonar technology have been deployed on the Cumberland River in an effort to locate him.

Despite the intensive search, including checks of storm drains and dilapidated buildings, there has been no trace of Strain so far. The Metro Nashville Police emphasized that, at this point, there is no evidence of foul play and the investigation is still classified as a missing person case.

Authorities have urged anyone who may have seen Riley Strain or has information about his whereabouts to contact the Metropolitan Nashville Police at (615)-862-8600. Meanwhile, an online fundraiser has been set up to support Strain's family, who traveled from Springfield, Missouri, to Nashville to join the search for him.
